They had been shipped in two containers, fully assembled, and secured in plastic and styrofoam. They are smartly made, sturdy, and precisely what I was on the lookout for.
However - the colour of the image here makes the tables appear to be extra blackish gray than black. They are solid black. If it is too darkish for you, that you may simply trade the colour via shopping for a can of spray paint.
